Welcome to our simple country farm

I’m so excited to invite you into this country life, and the adventures at Lavender Springs Farm. Welcome to our simple country farm!

Farm life is hard, and wonderful, and beautiful, all rolled into one. I’m here to share it all with you. If you’d like to read more about me, you can go here. However, this post is about what you can expect from my blog.

I’ll be sharing my passions on our simple country farm

Much of the time you will find me in my farmhouse kitchen cooking, baking, fermenting something, or homeschooling my children. These are my passions and I can’t wait to share them with you!

The rest of the time, you will find me gardening, blogging, and during the spring, I’ll be in our lavender field harvesting lavender, this is definitely the most dreamy time of year!

What you can expect to see on my blog

You’ll get a front row seat to:

  • What’s happening on our farm week by week
  • My favorite tried and true plant based recipes
  • You’ll get a look inside our farmhouse school room
  • Farmhouse DIY’s
  • And whatever else I feel inspired to share

But most importantly, I want to build a community

There has never been a more important time to have a virtual community of people to share with, and support. You don’t have to own a farm, or even live in the country. This is simply a place to come for country inspiration, community, and to find encouragement in a time of so much uncertainty. Everyone is welcome at the simple country farm! So join my community by subscribing to my blog! You’ll get all the good stuff once a week right to your email!

Country life is hard, but I’m right where I want to be!

Before we moved onto the farm, if someone had told me I’d live in a 5th wheel trailer for 3 years, I would have laughed and said “I’ll never do that!”. If someone had told me I’d be a lavender farmer I would have said, “a what?”. Life takes so many twists and turns, and if we stay open minded to the possibilities, theres no telling what adventures can happen!

I knew farm life would be hard, but not this hard! Maybe that’s why we can’t see the future. I would have missed out on all the joy and beauty I find living this simple country life. So looking back I can now say “It has all been worth it! I wouldn’t change a thing!”. We still have a long way to go to reach our dreams for our farm. It’s HARD work! And there are days I wish I could be sitting on a beach in Hawaii. But when I look up and can see the stars clearly at night, or I stop to take in the view of OUR mountain that surrounds our little valley, I know that I am exactly where I want to be.

Where do you find yourself now, and where do you want to be?

Life is constantly in motion. It can get so frustrating when we find ourselves “stuck” in a moment of time we aren’t enjoying. Wishing for the dreams to come true, for life to get better. Or maybe you are living your dream and life couldn’t get any better. Awesome! No matter where you find yourself on the journey, I hope you will join me for the adventures!

So What inspires you? Share with me so I can be inspired too!
